5 questions for Toon van Gastel

Toon has been working with us since 2011 and is Product Manager in our Loyalty department.

“Personally, I find it immensely beautiful to see the way in which we contribute to the perception among the target audience with the loyalty programmes and really make a difference for organisations.”

1. How do you start your working day?
I normally start my working day by making a detailed planning for the day in question. But obviously not before I have served an espresso or cappuccino to the colleagues in the department! When I have done that, I look at the LoyaltyPoint dashboards.
2. What are your activities on a day?
On a daily basis, I am in frequent contact with our customers (clients). My work ranges from programme evaluations, developing campaigns and actions, supervising IT deployments, providing demonstrations and, of course, the Product development of LoyaltyPoint. I also work closely with the other Loyalty Product Manager on a daily basis in coordinating operational topics and the product development of the LoyaltyPoint Software & Service package.
3. Which project or final product to which you contributed makes you proud?
I think we can be proud of all the loyalty programmes we have been privileged to run for our customers over the years. If I may pick out two, I think of the Together Greenchoice consumer loyalty programme and the Yource Coins employee loyalty programme. Both programmes are really an integral part of the strategy of these organisations. The results speak for themselves; both in the implementation of the programmes and in the objectives achieved, which speak for themselves time and again. Due to the diversity of customers and projects, we are continuously challenged to improve and develop our LoyaltyPoint Software & Service application.
4. What makes your job so enjoyable?
Personally, I think it is great to see how we contribute to the perception of the target group with our loyalty programmes and really make a difference for organisations. In the end, it’s all about the experience and feeling we create in people. It is up to us to remain creative in this respect, to be flexible and to develop continuously. The portfolio of loyalty programmes for consumers, business relations and employees are our right to exist and I think we can be very proud of that.
